One of the world’s finest labels gives us this treat of proper house music. Go on my son! Rock steady beats, insistent yet mellow keys, little percussive fills and the fabulous voice of one Jeff Ramsey whose lyrics, in the great tradition of our music, urge you to keep on striving. Love it. Mateo & Matos get a go at it too, and their remix features subterranean bass and quaking percussion and some shivery keys. The dub is a big springy old school kinda thang with a hint of rave somewhere. I’ll say it again – proper! 9/10
